Man Charged With Aggravated Battery After Several Die In Accident
Adrian Burks, who has been sought by police as a person with possible connections to a quadruple homicide, has been charged in another incident with aggravated battery.
Burks was arrested after midnight on June 24th, and was then taken to the Wyandotte Country jail. This followed a police chase that went across the state line. A 9:30 a.m. news conference on Thursday has been set for the district attorney to discuss the case.
Four victims who were killed in the quadruple homicide were from Kansas City, KS. According to officers, the charge against Burks was connected to another man who was attacked on Monday, the same day the four victims were found dead at a Kansas City home.
Burks is being held on a $2 million cash bond, and has an extensive criminal history. In 1988, he was charged with robbery and aggravated burglary in Kansas City. Just this year, Burks was charged with criminal threat and domestic battery of a woman in Roeland Park.
